
It's not unlike Command & Conquer: Generals in this regard, but with more of a Tom Clancy than a G.I. The CD-ROM-era might have left us with a certain measure of disdain for this sort of presentation, but that shouldn't let that stop you from checking out Act of War - it also happens to be a solid and enjoyable one real-time strategy game as well. But it's retroactive in the manner that it presents this story: by means of live-action, TV mini-series quality cutscenes.

Its timeliness is found in its story - it's a hard-hitting, earnestly told tale of petrol-paranoia, very reflective of the times we're living in, and in that context, quite believable. to Moscow.Īct of War is simultaneously very timely and unflinchingly retroactive.
